UF Alum Honored for Engineering Computer Access For the Blind
Profile feature of UF alumnus Ted Henter for the UF Alumni Association quarterly publication, GATOR Magazine.
Henter was named the 2018 recipient of the prestigious Migel Medal by the American Foundation for the Blind, joining the likes of Helen Keller and Sen. Tom Harkin as fellow recipients. Henter was awarded for the development of Job Access With Speech, or JAWs, the groundbreaking computer screen-reader program for the visually impaired.

Grateful Gators Gather at the Plaza
Event recap published on UF Advancement website. The third Grateful Gator Day event hit the Plaza of the Americas on March 14. Students gathered to celebrate the generosity of donors through writing thank-you cards and taking photos or recording video messages. Free T‑shirts, pizza and popsicles were available for students participating.

Twin Nurses, and One Life-Changing Opportunity
Program spotlight on Machen Florida Opportunity Scholarship — a program designed to assist academically talented, low-income students who are first in their family to attend college.
